Why Hibiscus not blooming/Flowering

There can be many reasons for the hibiscus plants not blooming, But in certain cases, your Hibiscus plant may suffer from some illness or any pest attack. Its soil condition may not be good or it may not be receiving sunlight we will discuss everything in detail point-wise let's start.

  • First, the Hibiscus plant is a tropical type of plant that generally grows near the equator at the equator we receive maximum sunlight, in simple terms we can say plants love sunlight if they get less sunlight then it will stop their growth and flower.  so the main thing is we have to give enough amount of sunlight to our Hibiscus plant which is nearly 4-6 hours a day.

  • Second, the Hibiscus plant requires lots of nutrients in the soil,  if we give soil which is in lacks nutrients then the Hibiscus plant will not produce flowers and will also stop its growth. giving organic fertilizer every 30 days is essential as plants grown in containers absorb the nutrients quickly. it can also die with the lack of micronutrients in soil if not taken proper care so always try to give fertilizer within a month for a healthy Hibiscus plant.

  • Third, this could be another reason for a hibiscus plant not growing well and not showing flowers, Hibiscus plants generally require moist soil if given less water then the plant will not be able to absorb enough amount of water in its and leaves may fall off this will make your Hibiscus plant unhealthy and you will not get flower or a single bud on it,  always remember to give the right amount of water to Hibiscus plant, Always check or have a look before giving water if it is too dry then give the right amount of water if it is too moist then give a little amount of water but maintain the moisture in the soil this will make your Hibiscus plant to bloom.
