Microgreens are a superfood for humans we generally need lots of nutrients, antioxidants, macro & micro nutrients and all types of minerals for a healthy lifestyle, but in ignorance or with a lack of knowledge we generally don't feel we should take the right diet i.e. proper diet.
This can be taken over just by consuming microgreens, we can grow multiple microgreens which generally grow between 5-10 Days some may take a few more days, Consuming daily microgreens once in a meal will make us so strong and this will improve our immune system.
How to Grow Microgreens at home:
We will follow a few steps to grow microgreens
1. Microgreens Soil: Soil is important to grow microgreens, they can be grown without soil also but with soil, it will take less effort and great results. In soil, we will use just cocopeat as this growing medium is easily available and also holds lots of moisture, so we generally have to give less water and moisture in it can go very long.
2. Microgreens Container: The container requirement is essential but we can grow microgreens in small plates that are easily available in our kitchen or we can use any plastic package which has a depth of a minimum of 1 inch and it is good to go for seed germination.
3. Microgreens Location: Location plays very essential role in growing microgreens as a good location will always help seeds to germinate fast and strong with lots of nutrients packed in it. Keep the microgreen tray in a bright light location i.e. near the window, outdoors away from direct sun or in the kitchen just near the gate where it can receive maximum light.
4. Microgreens Seed Quality: We must always select good quality seeds to grow in microgreens and also consider seeds that are not chemically treated as we will consume Microgreens within a few days and if we grow chemical-treated one then there is a great possibility of chemical to come in our diet we consider seeds which are free from chemical and are organic.
Organic seeds are a bit costly but we have to go for only organic seeds.
5. Maintain moisture: Maintaining moisture will give you Microgreens result very fast. Moisture play very important role in good germination, how to water - we have to firstly soke our seeds in water and after growing them use spray or any jar to water this will make sure that our microgreen grow very fast.
6. Location: Growing microgreens in the perfect location will let them grow very fast, select a location which has plenty of light such as just near a window or a door and a bright light location will help your microgreen to grow very fast because seeds require light to grow and if we provide enough light then our microgreen will grow very fast and healthy.
7. Harvesting Time: Harvesting microgreens at the correct time is important to get its perfect nutrition value. Once microgreens attain a height of 1-2 cm then they are ready to harvest and can be consumed in salade, sandwich, or just sprinkle on out morning breakfast.
